    The chief executive of the UK hospital where Kate Middleton had a planned abdominal surgery said he would take all “regulatory and disciplinary steps” after a staff member breached the Princess of Wales' medical records.

    “Everyone at the London Clinic is fully aware of our individual, professional, ethical and legal duties regarding patient confidentiality,” the Russells said in a statement on Wednesday.

    “We take great pride in the outstanding care and appreciation we aim to provide to all of our patients who place their trust in us every day.”

    He said the hospital has “systems in place for monitoring.” [the] Patient Information Management” and pledged that in the event of a breach “all appropriate investigative, regulatory and disciplinary steps will be taken.”

    “There is no place in our hospital for those who would intentionally violate the trust of any of our patients or colleagues,” Russell said.

    His comments come just days after a hospital insider claimed that at least one employee tried to access Middleton's medical records during her stay in January.

    The unnamed insider described the breach as “incredibly devastating to the hospital, given its impeccable reputation for treating members of the royal family,” in comments to the Mirror.

    “Everyone at the London Clinic is fully aware of our individual, professional, ethical and legal duties in relation to patient confidentiality,” the clinic’s chief executive said in a statement on Wednesday. mirrorpix/mega

    The insider also claimed that the hospital contacted Kensington Palace directly after officials learned of the apparent breach.

    A source familiar with the matter told the Mirror: “The entire medical staff are completely shocked and distraught by these allegations and feel extremely hurt that a trusted colleague could have been held responsible for such a breach of trust and ethics.”

    During her stay at the historic medical center, Middleton was under the watchful care of doctors and nurses in her own room

    There, the mother of two was given a personalized menu and Internet access.

    The London Clinic is also one of the finest medical facilities, with state-of-the-art equipment and surgical suites for urology, gynecology, thoracic surgery, orthopedics and spinal procedures.

    According to the NHS's Care Quality Commission (CQC), the hospital sees around 23,000 inpatients a year, as well as 110,000 outpatients, currently including King Charles.
