Jealous man strangles wife during video call with partner’s boyfriend

A 47-year-old man has faced court after making a video call with his wife’s boyfriend who strangled her in front of their two-year-old son, reports said. Many British media.

The sordid story, which allegedly took place on the night of April 29, 2023 in London, is now before the court.

Aminan Rahman allegedly murdered his 24-year-old wife Suma Begum after discovering that she was cheating on him with a man of her age. He then put his body in a suitcase and threw it into the water.

The victim, who migrated to the UK from Bangladesh in 2020 after marrying the accused, had two children with her; Ms. Begum was two years and four months old when she was killed.

Neighbors reported hearing children screaming on April 29, 2023 around 11:30 p.m. At the same time, Shanin Mia, the victim’s lover, received a call from Suma Begum’s husband through WhatsApp.

A jealous and particularly agitated husband sat on the bed while his partner hid under the covers and their two-year-old son was behind her, the witness says.

The 47-year-old man became very aggressive towards his wife and threatened to strangle her. In particular, he reportedly said he was going to blame a rival for his wife’s murder.

Throughout the call, the jealous husband asked the lover to refer to his wife as “mother” or “his mother.”

The accused was assaulting her two-year-old child and Mr. He also allegedly threatened to go to Bangladesh where Mia lived and attack her.

“I killed Suma. I killed your mother, I am coming to kill you,” he announced.

According to the victim’s boyfriend, she was unable to speak when her husband grabbed her by the neck. Then, the video is muted for 34 seconds before the call is completely disconnected.

Shaun’s Mia was able to record portions of the video call that were presented to the jury.

Security cameras also captured the accused leaving his house after midnight with his two-year-old son and a heavy suitcase. He is seen dropping the baby to the ground and throwing the suitcase into the River Lea.

The suitcase was found 10 days later by a passerby.
