Packers no longer have to worry about getting a receiver Davant Adams I signed a long term deal. They have to worry about replacing it.
Green Bay Adams is sending out Raiders, according to multiple reports. The Packers will receive two draft 2022 options in return, including a Raiders pick in the first round, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
The two parties have already reached a contract, with Adams becoming the highest-paid in the league. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports it’s a five-year deal worth $141.25 million, giving him an average of $28.25 million.
He reportedly told the Adams Packers earlier this week that he would not be playing for the franchise this season. Packers and Adams had until July 15 to strike a long-term deal but were far apart on a deal, prompting quiet talks with the raiders.
Adams has already bought a house next to the new midfielder, Derek Carrin Las Vegas, according to Rapoport.
Adams, 29, made five consecutive Pro Bowls and two All-Pros.
His departure leaves Aaron Rodgers Without his favorite receiver.
In 30 games over the past two seasons, Adams has had 238 receptions for 2,927 yards and 27 touchdowns.
