American YouTuber Trevor Jacob paid a lot for a viral video he made last fall Defender.
On November 24, 2021, Trevor Jacob released a video entitled “I Crash My Plane” in which he can be seen expelling himself from the middle of the plane before his plane crashes.
The video was a huge success, attracting more than 2.5 million Internet users, but the FAA, the Federal Aviation Administration.
At the inquest it appears that YouTuber had fully planned the crash of his plane. The plane was equipped with several cameras, one of which was aimed at the propeller. The pilot had decided to put on his parachute before the flight took off.
The FAA pointed out that Trevor Jacob did not use the emergency frequency to report his problems and that he jumped off the plane without trying to establish why the propeller had stopped working.
Youtuber could not find a safe place to land.
So the U.S. agency concluded that Jacob, who jumped off the plane, lacked the wisdom, fairness and responsibility to film his plane crash.
The FAA has therefore decided to revoke Trevor Jacob’s pilot’s license.
The latter claims that the accident happened spontaneously and admits that he did not expect such permission.
