Update as of 4/8/2022 10:30AM EST: Kellys responded to fulfill her hit song “Milk Shake” from Beyoncé’s Renaissance album. Thanks to fans who started commenting on Instagram, Kelis appears to be very grateful for the removal but she hasn’t been impressed by it.

One Instagram user asked according to “Are you glad Beyoncé took this sample, crying baby?” Hollywood unlocked. Kelis replied, “Yeah I actually do, lol no one cried.”

When another user said, “TBH, I’d just be glad to be on the album,” Kelis wrote, “That’s why it’s you and thank God I’m me lol.”

    The original story follows below.

last week, we told you About how the singer “Pussy” called Kellys Beyonce and former music director Pharrell Williams for introducing her hit song “Milkshake” in 2003 Bai newly released Renaissance album without her knowledge. Now, it seems like all the hype was for nothing because Beyoncé has taken the song’s use off the album entirely.

لكل boardThe song’s use appeared on the fifth single on the album “Power,” and has now been removed on both Tidal and Apple Music. After that, the move was met with great fanfare on the internet, with many praising the “Black Pared” singer for taking it down completely. So as not to fuel any drama.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Queen Bey has reviewed the album after its release last Friday. as such I mentioned before rootAfter receiving backlash for her song “Heated – which included the word ‘spaz’ and quickly met with scorn from disability advocates who claimed the lyrics were ‘offensive and capable’ – the multi-Grammy award-winning artist later confirmed in a statement that he would be replaced.”

And while those in the community made a valid point, someone else decided to jump on the bandwagon in an effort to get Bey to remove or change the lyrics to a different song she had put together nearly 10 years ago. as such Electronic warfare noteson tuesday, monica losinki (yeah, who – which Monica Lewinksy) tweeted apparently indicating that she wanted to replace her name on Beyonce’s 2013 hit song “Partition”.

The selected line in the song, Bay refers to the man who “Monica Lewis was wearing my dress.” However, people online were quick to express her hypocrisy, noting that she had an “inspiring rap song” on her Twitter bio while others cited a 2014 Vanity Fair article she wrote in which she thanked Beyoncé for including her in the song but mocked how. It was used incorrectly.

“Miley Cyrus references me in her stage acting, Eminem sings about me, and Beyoncé’s latest song gives me a shout out. Thank you Beyoncé” Excerpt from the article read. But if we’re talking, I think you mean ‘Bill Clinton wore my entire dress’ and not ‘Monica Lewinsky. ”

She later explained that at that moment, she was using humor to deal with “painful or humiliating things” as she often does, and that she did not communicate “directly” with Beyoncé’s camp to officially change the lyrics.

Regardless of Monica, if artists are going to start modifying their albums because of some people’s disdain for them, whether justified or not, they need to be very careful of the slippery slope they might end up embarking on if this becomes a precedent. Any person, brand or entity can then cause a stir all together trying to change the lyrics and I shouldn’t have to tell you how dangerous this approach to censorship would be if that kind of thought and action were carried out by the wrong party.

what do you think? Should Beyoncé have Kelly’s sample removed? Should she change her words for 2013 and free up Monica’s name? Let’s talk about it in the comments!
