Eighth place in the TCU appears to be in danger of giving up its first game of the season on Saturday, but The Horned Frogs staged their second epic rally in as many weeks for a 38-28 Big 12 win at No. 17 Kansas State. TCU entered the game having already been tested, having trailed by 17 points to defeat No. 11 Oklahoma State 43-40 in two additional times in Week 7. With an 18-point drop to the Wildcats in the second quarter, The Horned Frogs scored crucial touchdowns on the back. Consecutive possessions enter and leave the first half.

Finding ways to win pays off. TCU remains undefeated and leads the Big 12 Championship Game race under first-year coach Sonny Dykes.

Behind the strong run of Kinder Miller and veteran quarterback Max Duggan, the Horned Frogs scored 28 unanswered points to close out the match. Miller ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 29 buggies, Duggan threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns while The Horned Frogs improved to 7-0 (4-0 Big 12). Without the rally, TCU would have joined No. 7 Ole Miss, 9 UCLA, and No. 14 in Syracuse as previously unbeaten teams that suffered their first defeats during Week 8.

Luck and a few injuries have contributed to the success of the TCU, too. Kansas State played nearly the entire game without quarterback Adrian Martinez, who left the game due to injury in the first quarter. Martinez has been quietly having a great season, and his situation will loom large for the Wildcats (5-2, 3-1) as they try to stay firmly in the hunt for the Big 12 title.

Here is the full summary of how the ranked teams performed.
