Dallas – Many family members of the Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul Sources told ESPN that attending Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday was harassed and physically contacted by a fan in the crowd.

Paul talked about the upsetting Mother’s Day incident on social media after the MAV’s 111-101 win, which tied the series to a 2-2 score.

he is chirp: “I want good players to say things to the fans but the fans can get their hands on our families…and—this!!”

Paul’s mother, Robin, wife Jada and their two children watched the game in nearby seats behind the Suns seat at the American Airlines Center, sources told ESPN. A source familiar with the situation told ESPN that his mother put her hands up and his wife was pushed, and Paul’s children were there to witness it.

A separate source said Paul’s wife was also followed into the aisle as she left her seat.

The Mavericks organization was aware of the incident and released a statement that said in part: “It was unacceptable behavior and would not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, promptly removed the fan from today’s game.”

Paul, who missed the game by 8 minutes, 58 seconds left in the fourth quarter after limiting himself to five points in 23 minutes, consulted with security personnel stationed near the Suns bench to express concern about what is going on with his family. .

“They felt very insecure,” a source familiar with the situation told ESPN.
