Court sources told Romanian media outlet Libertatea that the British brothers were accused of kidnapping and rape.

The brothers allegedly held two young women against their will in the villa in April, where they were subjected to “physical and psychological abuse,” according to the Daily Mail.

Police suspect the Tate brothers formed an organized crime group and “sexually exploited members of the group by forcing them to perform pornographic scenes for the purpose of posting them on social media sites.”

The two were questioned by police for five hours on April 11, but were released, Liberdata reported.

A video of Tate being taken away in a car and flanked by two officers was shared shortly after the news broke.

Tate’s arrest appears to have been prompted by him Earlier in the day there was a spat on Twitter with environmentalist Greta Thunberg.

One thing is for sure, for many, this arrest sounds like the end of their tweet war.

“Greta Thunberg not only destroyed Andrew Tate with her tweet, she pissed him off so much he inadvertently tipped off the Romanian authorities about her presence in Romania with her lame throwback video. Greta is an absolute legend,” one user tweeted.
