The beta for one of Ubisoft’s four new titles may have been leaked, but nothing has been confirmed by the publisher.

Screenshots from one of the games below Assassin’s Creed Infinity It looks like an umbrella has leaked on her reddit (Opens in a new tab). Codename Jade is set in Imperial China, and is an open world mobile game, announced by Ubisoft in September 2022 along with three other titles – Red, Mirageand Hexe.

After the leaked footage, links to the beta registration appeared online – but they weren’t shared through any official Ubisoft channels.

    Beta me from you

Before we get into the nitty gritty, it’s important to say that the footage has not been confirmed to be an Assassin’s Creed game. A Reddit user who shared the screenshots says it comes from the Jade beta, but the Facebook beta title is Codename Explore.

As the only mobile game confirmed by Ubisoft as part of the Infinite announcement, Jade is setting the scene during China’s imperial Tang Dynasty. From Official reveal announcement (Opens in a new tab) We can see period-specific architecture, with on-screen text reading ‘Ancient China, 215 BC’ as a bird swoops around a vast city of pergolas and walled villages. The color palette is similar to that of Codename explore screenshots have been leaked (Opens in a new tab)which features two and a half minutes of gameplay and combat sequences that seem to mirror the world of Jade.

While Jade looks good, of the Assassin’s Creed games revealed at Ubisoft in September, Hexe is the one that interests me the most. than too short Trailer detection (Opens in a new tab)All we can see is a strange talisman consisting of branches hanging in a dark forest. It gives off strong Blair Witch vibes, and a touch of pagan horror that would certainly make for a compelling departure from the hack n’ slash style of previous Assassin’s Creed entries.

You can look for access to the Codename Explore beta, but we recommend waiting until Ubisoft officially shares registration details.
