    It was announced via social media Wednesday that Josh Allen will appear on the cover of Madden 24 magazine. Here’s what you need to know:

    Allen became the first Bills player to be featured on the cover of “Madden NFL”.

    He will be the eighth quarterback to appear on the cover of a video game since 2001, the year the game began putting players on the cover regularly.

    Madden 24 will be released on August 18 with the return of Superstar Mode and mini-games.

    “As a fan of Madden NFL since childhood, I am honored to have the first Buffalo Bills player on the cover, and I would not have gotten here without the support of my team and the Bills Mafia,” Allen said in a statement. “Superstar and mini-games are back in Madden, and I’m really excited for fans to see how the experiences evolve.”

    Allen, the seventh overall finisher in the 2018 NFL Draft, became one of the best quarterbacks in the league during the 2020 breakout season. He received Pro Bowl bids in 2020 and 2022. In his five seasons, he threw for 18,397 yards with 138 passing touchdowns and 60 interceptions. Allen also rushed for 3,087 yards and 38 TDs.
