NASA announced the new date for the launch of the first manned flight into space aboard Boeing’s Starliner aircraft after several delays.
The first flight will attempt a launch on Saturday, June 1 at 12:25 p.m. ET, with backup dates set for June 2, 5 and 6, the Federal Space Agency said in a statement. Blog post Late Wednesday.

NASA and Boeing said a media conference call will be held on Friday, May 24, where officials will provide “insight into the next targeted launch opportunity and updates on ongoing work.”
If the mission is successful, NASA could certify the spacecraft for routine missions to and from the International Space Station. NASA primarily uses SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft to transport crew and cargo to the International Space Station.
