    Today, Monday, Paris Saint-Germain club announced the exclusion of Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar until the end of the season, as the Brazilian international player is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair ankle ligaments that will keep him out of action for at least three months.

    Neymar, who scored 13 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 this season, has not played since. He was taken out on a stretcher During his team’s 4-3 victory over Lille last month, he missed the last two matches of Paris Saint-Germain.

    “Neymar Jr. has suffered several bouts of instability in his right ankle in recent years,” PSG said he said in a statement.

    “Following his most recent sprain on February 20, the medical staff recommended… a ligament repair operation to avoid the risk of a recurrence. This necessity was confirmed by all the experts consulted.

    A delay of three to four months is expected before he returns to training.

    PSG said he will undergo the surgery in Doha, Qatar.

    The club leads the league, eight points behind second-placed Marseille. Bayern Munich will meet on Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, where it will be 1-0 behind.
