Several people were ejected from a Ferris wheel in Florida after sparks erupted from a section of the 122-meter-tall facility.

The Ferris Wheel at the Icon Park amusement park in Orlando lost power on New Year’s Day around 6:20 p.m.
The attraction then suddenly stopped and sparks quickly rocked the carousel.
Dozens of Orange County firefighters were dispatched to the amusement park grounds to rescue passengers on board.
A total of 62 people were rescued from the Ferris wheel in 20 different cabins, Reuters reported..
The rescue operation will take more than 3 hours. The last passenger was disembarked at 10:45 p.m.
Fortunately there were no injuries.
On its website, the amusement park highlights the “unique” nature of the carousel, which offers a view of Orlando. The cost to access it is 39 Canadian dollars.
The Ferris wheel at Icon Park has already made headlines.
In 2015, many people were trapped in cabins for hours due to a technical glitch.
