NEW YORK – The NFL has named 10 new officials on the field, including the first Asian-American to run the league, and a former player.

Lo van Pham joins the NFL from the Big 12 Conference. Born in Vietnam and after a layover in the Philippines, he moved to the United States when he was seven years old.

Mike Morton becomes the third former NFL player on the 2022 Official List, joining Nate Jones and Terry Killins. Morton was drafted in the fourth round in 1995 by the Raiders and was their quarterback from 1995 to 1998. He also played for St. Louis, Green Bay (2000) and Indianapolis during his seven-year career in the NFL.

Robin DeLorenzo has become the third woman on the NFL’s field game officials list, joining Sarah Thomas and Maya Shaka. DeLorenzo of the Big Ten Conference.

Tra Boger, son of longtime NFL referee Jerome Boger, joins the league as a field judge outside the Securities and Exchange Commission. They are the only current father-son combination on the list.

Declining judge Max Causey, referees Brandon Cruz, Duane Haidt, Alex Moore, field judge Alonzo Ramsey and side judge Jeff Shears come out 10th.

The league announced earlier that Tra Blake had been promoted to the referee. Blake replaced retired Tony Corente.

The NFL also announced on Tuesday that Dennis Crudup and Artenzia Young Siegler are the first black women responsible for the replay.
