In an interview with US media, Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Green compared Donald Trump’s journey to that of Nelson Mandela and Jesus.

The controversial politician made the statement while in New York to support the former US president during his historic appearance.
He notes that these men also had to face justice.
“Trump joins some of the most important people in our history in being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested and spent many years in prison. Jesus was arrested and killed,” he said.
Many citizens in New York criticized his visit to the borough.
