Tensions between the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Russian Orthodox Church have risen since the start of the war in Ukraine, as seen in a video broadcast of a funeral on July 22.

According to an extract published by NEXTA Media, we can see Russian priest Mykhailo Vasiliuk physically attack a Ukrainian priest because of his comments about Vladimir Putin.
According to Newsweek, A Ukrainian priest is reported to have said that Vladimir Putin started the war in Ukraine to protect the faithful of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Vasiliuk, a member of the Moscow Patriarchate, immediately approached his Ukrainian assistant and dealt a few blows to his upper body with a cross.
Ukrainian soldiers observing the ceremony intervened and ended the fight.
A Ukrainian priest was slightly injured after his colleague Anatoly Dutko’s anger.
The incident took place in Vinnytsia in the center of the country.
Local authorities have launched an investigation.
