Washington's decision to bring in four of its best quarterbacks at once makes no sense

It was funny, to say the least, to see some in the media twisting themselves into knots to praise the Commanders for bringing four of their top quarterback prospects on a visit on the same day.

From my point of view, there is no sense.

What's the point of having Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, JJ McCarthy and Michael Penix in the building in the same day? The only argument we've seen is that they want to see how the four will interact.

Why? who cares? When will the four of them be together again?

It may be an interesting social experiment, but it wastes the opportunity to get to know each player individually.

Our guess is that owner Josh Harris wanted to be present for the visits, and they were lined up the day he was available. This is just a guess. I don't expect leaders to admit that, because to admit that would be to acknowledge that Harris has an important voice in the final decision the leaders make.

News flash: He does.

He actually sat in on meetings with quarterbacks at the Scouting Combine. This is an important decision, and he intends to participate fully in making it. But also to be able to plausibly say that his football team made the decision.

This is not a criticism. It is an attempt to understand what is illogical. If the reason he brought all four of them on the same day was not because Harris wanted to set aside one day to meet with all of them, then there was no reason to do it this way.
