Marvel fans and fighting game fans rejoice, our shared day has arrived! Capcom has announced Marvel Vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, a collection of seven games connected to the fighting game series of the same name.
According to Capcom’s promotional trailer for the collection, the games included are X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super-Heroes, and X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: The New Age of Heroes.
You’ll notice that these are only six games. The latest game is a true arcade port of the classic brawler The Punisher, which is a rare treat in itself given the game’s infamous translation to older consoles, which already includes online co-op.
“I’ll take you on a journey back to the arcades with MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics!” Capcom reads Social media advertising. “7 Legendary Games and 1 Super Heroic Collection, coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Steam in 2024.”

Capcom’s fighting game collections are usually a lot of fun for fans of classic fighting games, and this collection in particular contains some real gems. X-Men: Children of the Atom is an underrated classic, and of course Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is considered one of the best fighting games of all time, with a thriving competitive scene.
The collection ignores recent crossover games Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, which had several iterations, and its poorly received sequel Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite, neither of which technically fit under the “Arcade Classics” banner. But there’s more than enough to keep fighting game fans and Marvel fans alike entertained.
Capcom has put out a Official Website For Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting: Arcade Classics Collection, but there’s no announced release date yet other than 2024. Of course, you’ll need a Switch, PS4, or Steam account to play it.
