    Tim White, longtime professional wrestling referee Work for WWEThe company said on Sunday. He was 68 years old.

    White has worked in WWE for over 20 years. He began working with Andre the Giant and was a part-time referee when he started in 1985. He was part of some of the most famous WWE matches in the company’s history, including the 1998 Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Mankind at The King of the Ring.

    “A shoulder injury effectively ended Wyatt’s in-ring career, but Wyatt remained a major part of WWE working behind the scenes as a talented and official agent until 2009,” WWE said.

    “WWE extends its condolences to the White family, friends and fans.”

    WWE superstars Shawn Michaels and Big E were among those who paid tribute to the referee.

    He is the second WWE referee to pass away this weekend.

    company The death of Dave Hebner has been announced on Saturday.

    Hebner served as referee for Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat A match at WrestleMania III And the match between Savage and Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania V. WWE also noted one famous moment between Hebner and his brother that happened in 1988.

    Hebner and his brother Earl helped orchestrate one of the most memorable moments in WWE history when he met Andre the Giant and Hogan in a WWE main event for the WWE Title in 1988. With Dave locked in a locker, Earl and “Million Dollar Man” Ted put DiBiase A trap for The Hulkster. And when Dave joined Earl in the ring, he made a confused Hogan see weakness in disbelief.”

    Earl Hepner tweeted about Dave’s death.

    He wrote: “Yesterday I had to say my last goodbye to my other half, my partner in crime, my companion in the road for years, my brother for 73 years. I love you David, I will never count you.”
