Netflix’s Monster returns with a new season about the Menendez brothers

Netflix is bringing audiences another story of infamous murders with a new season of… Monsterbut this time he called Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Eric Menendez. The new season of the hugely popular series, which will focus on the Menendez brothers, got a short trailer on Monday, but it won’t hit the streaming service until sometime in 2024.

The first season of Monster, which debuts in 2022, starred Evan Peters as notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The new season will follow the Menendez brothers, who murder their parents before embarking on a generous spending spree and are at the center of one of the biggest and most public murder trials of the ’90s – before OJ Simpson, of course. The Menendez brothers were convicted in 1996; Their much publicized trial ended in 1993, with two jurors deadlocked. They were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Dahmer – The Beast: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story It was one of the biggest hits of Netflix in 2022 and was created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The two also served as executive producers on the series’ first season with Murphy as producer. No official word yet if this will be the case with Monsters: Lyle and Eric Menendez story or not.
