    Russell Crowe Comments On ‘Gladiator’ Sequel And Says He’s “A Little Jealous” – Deadline

    Russell Crowe opens up about wrestler The sequel that Ridley Scott has been working on will be released in November 2024. The actor, who won an Oscar for his role in the aforementioned film, isn’t partial to the follow-up and says he’s “a little jealous.”

    “I mean, look, the only thing I really feel like being a little bit jealous, you know? Because I was a much younger guy, obviously, and it was a huge experience in my life,” Crowe said. collider in an interview. “It’s something that really changed my life. It changed the way people look at me and what I do for a living, and you know, I’ve been very lucky to be in a lot of big movies, but the legs in this movie are incredible.”

    Scott is directing the sequel which is set to star Paul Mescal, with David Scarpa writing the screenplay. Barry Keoghan is reportedly in talks on board for a sequel to the film.

    In the follow-up, Mescal is set to play Lucius, son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen) and nephew of Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix).
