Florida Gov. Ron Desantis signed into law on Friday a law that would take effect in June 2023, eliminating the pros and cons of enjoying the Disney World theme park, winning some progressive themes that are not appreciated by elected Republicans.

When the Disney World Leisure Center was built in the 1960s, Disney was given special status in the text chair. It gave a great deal of autonomy to the local administration and ‘exempted it from most of the rules of the state. .
Bob Sobek, Disney’s CEO, has spoken out against the governor’s law banning the teaching of subjects related to sexual orientation or gender identity in elementary school. Relations between Disantis and Disney have recently deteriorated.
The text was nicknamed “Do Not Say Homosexual” (“Do not talk about homosexuals”) by its opponents.
Initially, according to a leaked insider, Bob Sapek was reluctant to take a stand on the text. Disney employees protested against the group’s “negligence” and calls for boycott began to spread on social media, eventually leading to the CEO coming out against the law.
“You are a company headquartered in Burbank, California, and you are using your economic power to attack parents in my state. We consider this a provocation and we will fight against it,” Desandis signed in a Friday speech.
Disney’s theme park near Orlando is one of the most visited in the world and the Disney brand is a favorite among Americans.
With its special status, Disney has guaranteed many essential public services, such as garbage collection or water purification, and some select officials fear that withdrawing the status quo will shift the debt to local governments.
