On Monday, US President Joe Biden said it was “clear” that Russia was considering using chemical and biological weapons in Ukraine, warning that such a move would provoke a “tough” response from the West.
Biden said of Russian President Vladimir Putin, “he has his back against the wall,” pointing to Moscow’s recent accusations that the United States has chemical and biological weapons in Europe. “It simply came to our notice then. “They (the Russians) claim that Ukraine has chemical and biological weapons in Ukraine. This is a clear indication that he (Vladimir Putin) plans to use both types of weapons,” he continued.
