A skydiving demonstration during the G7 summit in Italy on Thursday made for a comical scene. US President Joe Biden was distracted and walked away from the group, until host country Prime Minister Georgia Meloni brought him back to his colleagues.

As the leaders of the world’s wealthiest democracies applauded the skydiving display, the US president stepped aside and appeared to say something to an official strapping on his parachute.
At the same time, the Italian prime minister walked back towards Biden, before touching his right hand and encouraging him to join the group.
Other heads of state gathered around Biden for a photo, for which the president donned his signature aviator sunglasses.
Accounts affiliated with the Republican Party jumped at the chance to bring up the lost image of the 81-year-old president.
The Republican National Committee’s X account, RNC Research, posted the video with the caption: “WHAT IS BIDEN DOING?”
Biden aides have long said the president, who will be 86 when he completes a second full term in January 2029, has sometimes lost focus in private conversations and made public mistakes. New York Post.
