If you’re hoping to buy a PS5 or PS5 bundle, your first announced opportunity is on Monday, November 21st at 12pm ET/9am PT at Walmart. However, there’s a catch: you’ll do the first round of Black Friday PS5s Only available to Walmart+ members. This isn’t to say it’s the only way to get your hands on your shiny new PlayStation 5 before the Christmas season, but it’s the only way it’s been officially announced (so far).
How to get the PS5 on Black Friday
TL; DR is if you want your first PS5 crack from Walmart, better sign up for Walmart+.
Walmart will be offering PlayStation 5 God of War: Ragnarök bundles on three separate days, as well as several other PS5 releases and bundles.
Walmart+ is $12.98 for one month, or $98 annually. There is a 30-day free trial, but unfortunately, the free trial does not entitle you to early access to the Black Friday PS5 builds. You will have to pay for access.
If you’d rather not spend money on a Walmart+ month of access to PlayStation 5 consoles on Monday, November 21st, you still have two more chances at Walmart, and they likely don’t require a membership.
Does Amazon have PS5 in stock?
That’s a good question. As for Black Friday, Amazon has nothing to do with the PS5 (at least, not that we know). However, you can sign up for a PS5 invite on several different PlayStation 5 SKUs listed below. From what we’ve seen through IGNDeals on Twitter and our own reports, these invites have been coming out pretty quickly.

When does the PS5 go on sale at Walmart for Black Friday?
- Monday, 11/21 at 12p ET on Walmart.com for Walmart+ members only
- Wednesday, 11/23 at 12 p.m. ET on Walmart.com

What versions of PlayStation 5 will be available on Black Friday?
According to Walmart, the following PlayStation 5 consoles and console bundles will be available online and in stores. In-store availability is subject to change, of course, and if you’re trying to buy a PS5 on Black Friday at Walmart, you’re made of tougher stuff than I am.
Amazon, as mentioned above, has the same selection available by invitation, but is also offering invitations for the disc and digital versions of the Horizon Forbidden West PlayStation 5 bundles.
The availability of PlayStation 5 consoles is just one of the many PS5 Black Friday deals happening, though it’s not a full-price deal. But it beats scalper prices!
