    Nintendo Switch 2 leaks continue – even if Nintendo is taking some rather dramatic steps to make sure they don’t.

    Right after information leaked about the larger screen size and new JoyCons for the Switch 2, a new report confirms much of what we’ve heard while adding some new details. Spanish gaming site vandal It has been revealed that third-party manufacturers have managed to get their hands on Nintendo’s next-generation console. But it looks like someone at Nintendo has rewatched it Sand Dunes: Part One.

    From the Vandal article, translated from Spanish: “Switch 2 information will come from manufacturers of accessories that have been able to “touch” the new Nintendo console: the company will ask them to put their hand in an opaque box so that they can understand the dimensions and design without compromising confidentiality.

    Having to face Gom Jabbar’s pain box to even feel like the Switch 2 is crazy old-school.

    Vandal happily points out that those seven seconds in heaven with the Switch 2 let participants know that the new console would be larger than the original Switch, and closer in size to Valve’s Steam Deck.

    Other physical hints from third-party manufacturers confirm the existence of new Joy-Cons with magnetic suction. Supposedly, accessory makers claim that the upcoming Switch will be compatible with controllers. We can only assume they mean Pro Controllers since the Joy-Cons won’t be able to be compatible with the Magnetic Suction Switch 2.

    There were some other interesting tidbits relayed by the manufacturers. Accessory makers estimate that the soonest we’ll see the Switch 2 is the beginning of 2025. It’s been suggested that the delay is so Nintendo can bolster its lineup of first-party games for the new console. Other leakers believe this is to avoid hardware supply issues.

    The Switch 2 is rumored to feature an Nvidia chip based on the Ampere architecture for the RTX 30. Previous rumors have stated that the Switch 2 will have enough power to equal the ray tracing performance of the Xbox Series S — still behind PlayStation and Xbox, but powerful enough for What Nintendo seems to want to do with its games.

    There have been hints that the new Switch will support DLSS which could maintain strong performance, especially if rumors that Nintendo will overclock the console are true.

    In the meantime, try to keep your hands out of the opaque boxes and your neck away from the veiled nuns with the poisoned needles.
