    Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet brings changes to the Pokémon Trading Card Game

    sScarlet Okemon And the Pokemon Violet It launched last month and ushered in a new generation of Pokémon as Trainers set out on a treasure hunt across the Baldia region. The Pokémon Trading Card Game follows suit and takes its next step into the future scarlet and violet; Series with edits to aesthetic card, package contents, and more.

    From now on, the classic yellow border framing Pokémon TCG cards will transition to the same silver border used in Japan. This changes both the Pokémon TCG’s framework art in its original confines and unifies the game on a global level. The subclass of Coach cards (Support, Court, etc.) that are currently in the top right of the Coach cards will be moved to the top left of the card – to be more visible in players’ hands.

    Energy cards also change with scarlet and violet; series. The power name will now appear at the top of the card next to a new power subtype tag. The energy icon currently on your energy cards will appear at the bottom right of your energy cards. This change makes the amount and type of energy attached to each Pokémon more clear to each player. Finally, the expansion icons will now be replaced by the expansion icons at the bottom left of each card.

    Due to global inflation affecting material and production cost, Pokémon Trading Card Game products will see varying MSRP increases in select markets with the launch of scarlet and violet; series. For example, the price of the booster pack will increase from $3.99 to $4.49. In an effort to continue to deliver a positive experience and value in the Pokémon TCG, each pack of Pokémon cards will now contain three guaranteed foil cards per booster – all cards with a rarity of “Rare” or higher will now be a foil. In addition, some products come with additional items. For example, the Elite Trainer Box will include an additional booster pack and a full art promo card.
